Docker & Kubernetes Comprehensive Training

Learn Docker and Kubernetes in this 40-hour comprehensive training program covering containerization, image management, orchestration, networking, storage, security, troubleshooting, autoscaling, scheduling, and application deployment.

Course Overview

This 5-day comprehensive training program covers containerization technologies, Docker container management, and Kubernetes orchestration. Participants will explore the differences between traditional virtualization and containerization, Docker architecture, container images, networking, persistent storage, and image-building techniques, including multi-stage builds.

The Kubernetes curriculum covers cluster architecture, Pods, workloads, scheduling, multi-container patterns, services, networking, storage, and security configurations. Participants will also learn application scaling, cluster autoscaling, troubleshooting, high availability, Network Policies, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Additional topics include Karpenter and Helm for cluster management and application deployment. The course combines Docker fundamentals with advanced Kubernetes administration and operational concepts.

Course Objective

  • Understand the differences between traditional virtualization and containerization.
  • Explain Docker architecture and manage Docker containers, images, and registries.
  • Build and optimize Docker images using Dockerfiles, image layers, caching, and multi-stage builds.
  • Understand Kubernetes architecture, components, Pods, and workload management.
  • Implement multi-container Pod patterns, including Sidecar, Ambassador, and Adapter.
  • Configure Kubernetes services, networking, Ingress controllers, and CoreDNS.
  • Manage persistent storage using Storage Classes, Persistent Volumes, and Persistent Volume Claims.
  • Troubleshoot containerized applications, cluster components, and networking issues.
  • Implement Kubernetes security using Network Policies and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Apply advanced scheduling, autoscaling, high-availability configurations, and Helm-based application deployment.

Pre-requisites

  • Basic understanding of command-line interface (CLI) operations.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating system fundamentals.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Experience with software development or system administration is beneficial but not mandatory.
