Course Overview
AWS Security Essentials is a fundamental-level course covering core AWS security concepts and practices. It introduces the AWS Well-Architected Framework Security Pillar, the Shared Responsibility Model, AWS Global Infrastructure, compliance and governance, identity and access management, data protection, network security, edge security, DDoS mitigation, and compute resource protection.
The course also covers monitoring, detective controls, and incident response essentials, with hands-on labs focused on security policies and securing VPC resources with Security Groups.
