Course Overview
The Advanced Python Programming course provides comprehensive training in Python programming, covering fundamental programming concepts through advanced language features. Participants will learn to develop Python scripts and applications using variables, operators, control flow statements, functions, modules, data structures, and object-oriented programming concepts.
The course explores Python libraries, file handling, regular expressions, exception handling, logging, debugging, and GUI application development using Tkinter. It also covers Python code packaging, wheel distribution, and web scraping using libraries such as Requests, urllib, Selenium, Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, and lxml. Participants will gain an understanding of data extraction and processing using CSV and JSON formats.
Course Objective
- Understand Python programming fundamentals, language features, and cross-platform application development.
- Apply Python statements, operators, conditional expressions, and looping constructs.
- Work with Python data structures, including lists, tuples, strings, dictionaries, and sets.
- Implement file handling operations and develop reusable functions using different argument types and lambda expressions.
- Understand Python modules, native libraries, imports, and modular application development.
- Apply object-oriented programming concepts, including classes, objects, constructors, inheritance, and polymorphism.
Implement logging, exception handling, and debugging techniques using Python’s built-in tools.
- Develop graphical user interface applications using Tkinter widgets, layouts, and event handling.
- Understand Python packaging, wheel distribution, web scraping techniques, and data extraction using relevant Python libraries.
Pre-requisites
There are no mandatory prerequisites for this course. However, basic familiarity with programming concepts such as loops, conditional statements (if/else), and operators is recommended. Prior experience with any programming language will be helpful.
