Course Overview
The Microsoft Power Platform Developer course focuses on designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting solution components that extend Microsoft Power Platform capabilities. The course emphasizes using traditional code to address development requirements that are not suited to low-code approaches.
Participants learn development techniques using Microsoft Power Platform services, JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, C#, HTML, RESTful Web APIs, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Microsoft Azure. The course covers advanced canvas app techniques, Power Automate expressions and Dataverse actions, client scripting, command bar customization, and Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) development.

- Automate business processes using expressions and Dataverse actions in Power Automate.

- Build basic code components using the Power Apps Component Framework.

- Understand how Microsoft Azure can be used as part of Power Platform development solutions.
Pre-requisites
Participants must have previous software development experience using coding techniques with modern programming languages such as C# and JavaScript. They should also have a foundational understanding of Microsoft Power Platform and hands-on experience with:
- Developing data models in Microsoft Dataverse.
- Creating tables, columns, and relationships in Microsoft Dataverse.
- Building Power Apps canvas apps.
- Building Power Apps model-driven apps.
- Building Power Automate cloud flows.
