Course Overview

The Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM®) training offered by Learnovative is designed to enhance your skills and capabilities as a Scrum Master. The certification training focuses on equipping you with advanced concepts and techniques that will enable you to excel in your Scrum Master career. Delivered across a 3-day evening schedule (6:00 PM – 11:00 PM), it goes beyond the basics of Scrum to cover working with multiple Scrum teams, exploring additional Agile frameworks, implementing engineering practices, scaling Scrum methods, and applying Scrum in non-IT teams such as HR, IT, Infra, and Facilities.

Through a practice-based and highly interactive learning approach, this 15-hour course prepares you to bring organizational agility and effectively tackle complex enterprise scenarios. Completing this training sets you on the path to achieving the Advanced Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance®, a globally recognized credential.

Course Objective

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Facilitate advanced Scrum events and team interactions using convergent and divergent thinking techniques.
  • Apply 1-on-1 coaching techniques and use models like GROW to guide team members and leaders.
  • Identify team dysfunctions, manage conflict, and move teams up the Tuckman ladder toward high performance.
  • Assist Product Owners with vision creation, story mapping, user story writing, and backlog prioritization.
  • Apply Lean principles, value stream mapping, cycle time reduction, and identify Lean wastes.
  • Utilize Extreme Programming (XP) practices and Kanban to improve delivery speed and engineering quality.
  • Manage enterprise impediments using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Implement scaling frameworks such as LeSS and SAFe, managing dependencies across component and feature teams.

Pre-requisites

Participants must have:

  • An active Certified Scrum Master (CSM®) certification.
  • At least 1 year of validated work experience as a Scrum Master.
